Order Status / New Tariffs
We will make sure to deliver every order, even, as long as we can keep the US store operating. DCC-EX resellers outside the US are NOT affected.
The rules are constantly changing and we have no way to plan for what will or won't happen, but as of April 2, the US President has implemented the largest tax increase in US peacetime history. DCC-EX pays this tax, as well as the added US Customs fees, increased shipping costs, and brokerage fees. We are evaluating if we can stay in business in the US and if our users will be able to adjust to an overnight doubling of prices. As an example will a $129 CSB1 still be able to sell at $250? This is affecting every manufacturer and reseller in our hobby, most of whom have issued their own statements about rising prices and halting sales of certain products.
On April 2, 2025 the tax we have to pay for goods we import from China was raised to 54%, then 125%, and now 145%!! The exemption for goods under $800 is also being removed. And there will be a minimum tax assessed, so that even if we need $20 worth of parts, we will have to pay over $80 in new taxes and fees. Obviously, that completely shuts down that business.
Even if we can afford to pay the taxes and fees on large orders, and still provide product to our users, we expect delays of weeks or months due to the load processing all these packages will have on Customs and USPS.
While not all tariffs are bad, in this instance, we feel this trade war unfairly affects all American businesses, but especially small business and US Shoppers. Many Etsy, eBay, and Amazon stores,, may be forced to close in the US. People who order from stores like AliExpress, Banggood, Temu, Shein, eBay, Etsy, Amazon, etc. will be affected and prices of everything, especially electronics, clothing, and cars are skyrocketing.
We intend to absorb some of this new tax, but we can't absorb all of a 145% increase plus all the added fees. We will monitor things closely and promise to adjust prices down if and when things change. This will not effect any of our resellers in countries outside the US who are able to continue business as usual. We truly appreciate your support and are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.
When will I get my order?
Shipments will go out in order that they are received. There may be a 2 week delay on CSB1s as we need to re-order.
