The unprecedented US Tariffs are making it very difficult for all US businesses. Please click News for more information about the devastating effect of this tax on small business and consumers.
ATTENTION Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and New Zealand users: You may be able to save time and shipping costs by ordering from the suppliers listed here:
TARIFF NOTE: The tariff tax has increased our prices by 60-70%. We will try to not raise prices, but the uncertainty of this tax changing on a whim makes it difficult to plan. We will keep you posted if there are any changes.
USING MULTIPLE POWER SUPPLIES: If you are using an EX-CSB1 or other setup using power districts and ordering a separate power supply, note that CSB1s ordered with an EX-MotorShield (4 track outputs), come with a splitter for you to use one power supply. If you need more than 5A total, then you can purchase a "cage" or "bench" type power supply or certainly use two power supply from us. One power supply connects to the CSB1 and the other connects to the EX-MotorShield8874. They are automatically grounded together. NOTE: If using cage type power supplies make sure all grounds (earths) are connected at the same point.
PSU STYLE / APPEARANCE: Due in part to the tariffs and voltage selected, the size or style of the actual power supply may differ from the image. The power cord may be attached or removeable.
Our Standard power supplies are a "brick" or "laptop" type with a 5.5 x 2.1mm connector to fit our CSB1 and EX-MotorShield8874. Z and N Scale locos can use 12V, while N and HO can use 15V. 0. Larger scales will usually need a highter voltage, please check with us if you are using 0, Garden, or Riding Scale. NOTE FOR N SCALE: There is some overlap of voltage with N Scale, many N Scale users prefer 15V for added torque on grades and higher top end speed. Please check the manual on all of your decoders to make sure they can handle 15V if you choose that option.
