Case/Enclosure for the EX-CSB1 Command Station
The EX-Command Station / Booster One normally ships with a snap-fit carrier plate (aka "sled"). This enclosure is for those who prefer a decorative and protective enclosure instead. See the usage instructions below. NOTE:This case is for EX-CSB1s sold through the DCC-EX store. Different resellers may provide a .96" display or shorter headers which will affect how the display looks in this case. Be sure to ask your reseller about compatibility.
NOTE: Not for outdoor use or to be exposed to direct sunlight
Instructions
1. Remove the EX-CSB1 from the carrier sled by using a thumb on one of the sides of the sled to gently pull it outwards while lifting up on the black headers on the same side. The CSB1 should just pop out. When replacing it, insert the side with the USB-C connector and Railsync compatible connector and seat the hole in the board by the USB-C connector with the pin in the sled. Then gently push down on the other side of the board until is snaps into place.
2. Unsnap the top from the bottom of the EX-CSB1 Case. Place the board onto the case bottom by laying the barrel connector side in first. Make sure the pin seats properly in the hole by the barrel connector. When that side snaps into place, lower the other side of the board and gently press on the black header connectors until the board clicks into place. When removing the board, you can use a thumb against the side of the case to bend that side of the case gently outward while pulling up on the black header. You can also use gentle pressure on the output connectors to help pop out the board. WARNING: Do NOT lift or press the black antenna that sticks out from the case at the back, as it could be damaged. This is the reason there are 2 protective tabs on either side of the antenna.
3. Optional - The EX-CSB1 snaps into place, however for added security you can use 1 to 3 M2x4mm Philips head machine or self-tapping screws. Be sure not to overtighten the screws and that the screw heads to not touch any components on the CSB1 board.
